Formerly under Yahoo Groups, Freedom Beacon Ministries' support network has always been committed to cult awareness education and cult exit counseling. Our founder defected from the cult in which she was raised at the age of 18 and has worked with former Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, New Agers, and survivors of ritual and other forms of spiritual abuse. The primary goal has always been to help defectors to find their footing in outer society by addressing any residual issues still being experienced (i.e., dealing with shunning, substance abuse, guilt, grieving, PTSD, etc.) and unraveling the false indoctrination.
